Animals are usually more susceptible to changes than we are. Hopefully it doesn't mean anything too drastic as with the last two gigantic creatures we've faced against.
i didn't want to kill them, any of them and i didnt mean to but i did do you know the feeling when you feel everything at once? the emotions but not just yours, theirs too
i froze up because i killed one and i didnt see and felt the others the person that tried to get me away got hurt because the attack was for me and i couldnt do anything

However, there are people who are relying on you here as well. As much as you'd like to avoid conflict however possible, the inevitable conclusion is that you'll have to learn when to set aside your problems with regards to killing things and be capable at killing when it's needed.
