[ his call is soft, mouth seeming half closed as he speaks, swollen— only because it's uncomfortable to open too much. on both cheeks he's got padded bandages ( and under those bandages are separate punctures belonging to the same arrow, one that had pierced through the right side of his face ), along with an array of smaller cuts and bruises from what you'd expect when you fight for so long.
he's tired, dark rings forming under his eyes, and emotional wreck more than anything ( just his psych made him look ill )— but relief washes through him when he nears edward, giving an exhale.
he was okay— ( he might cry ed prepare your tissues ) ]
